Pioneer Museum

The kids on the Trax

For school last Friday we went with our homeschool group to the Pioneer Museum and for a picnic on the capitol’s lawn. I decided to make a full day of it by taking Trax (a fun ride on the light rail train) then later we went to see the Joseph Smith Movie on temple square. We later rode home with Dad on the Trax. In the movie there is a part where Joseph’s brother Alvin dies. In between scenes there was a classic pause of quite. Aiden took this moment to yell “MOM!!! Mom!!! Why didn’t they pray for him?!?! He would have lived!!!” He had such a concerned look with tears in his eyes that I couldn’t help but cry because of his deep sorrow for Joseph losing his brother and laugh at the realization that the whole theater heard his plea for a pray for Alvin. He was deeply concerned about this. I love the faith of a child.
