Some pictures

Here's Gwen in her favorite outfit that she likes to wear everyday. Notice the leotard is backwards... she likes it that way.

She fell a sleep during our school time trying to be like her big sisters. (notice the pen)

Here's Gwen (in another one of her favorite dresses) playing with Aiden's hair while Aiden plays a computer game.

It's a girl!

I'm finally at the half way mark of my pregnancy! So, yesterday, we went in for an ultra sound and found out that our baby is a girl. Not that we are surprised. I think Aiden was the most shocked of us all. Poor kid, now he'll really be "girl crowded" as he likes to put it. It was fun to see her little body so perfect. It always amazes me how they develop and that they can turn out so perfect. We are so excited to welcome a new baby!!

Gwen's 3rd Birthday

Here's Gwen on her 3rd birthday. Robyn was really sweet and made the cake while I was at Liberty Girls with Emma. It was a good looking cake and after we sang we cut it, passed it out and began to eat it. Little did we know that Robyn omitted the sweetener because she couldn't find it and assumed we were out. What a great learning experience for her! :)

Do you like the outfit Gwen is wearing? Yup that another one of her favorites to wear no matter how cold it is. It's a night gown that Grandma Thompsen sent for Christmas and she wears it as a princess dress.

Gwen's Birthday Gifts...

For Gwen's birthday this year I caught a project bug and made her a "Belle" dress out of an old $5 skirt I bought at DI and I repainted an old play kitchen I bought through Craig's list.
Gwen is in a "princess" phase and she loves Belle. The funny thing is that I made her the dress and she won't wear it. She prefers her ballerina clothes and a pair of sparkly shoes that were hand me downs and are 2 sizes too big! I've never had a 3 year old be so picky about what they wear. Hopefully she grows out of it!
For the play kitchen, I found this great old solid wood play kitchen on Craig's list for $10. It's made out of real cabinetry and counter top. The lady said all her children played with it and it was in perfect condition. I just changed it a little by adding paint and doing modge podge to the counter top with fun paper. Then I added new nobs and a hook on the side to hang aprons and dish towels on. Unlike the dress, Gwen loves it and plays with it several times a day. Even the older kids are into playing with it.

Part way through cutting it out... I always for get the before picture:

Half way through the 7 layers of paint I had to apply...I suddenly remembered that I really don't like painting at this point :):

Our timeline

For school, we started a timeline in our kitchen. Every time we read about someone in history we are going to draw or copy a picture and put it on our timeline. The kids are really excited to do this. Even the public school kids who come over to play love to look at it :)
