Last Show of the Season

Emma had another horse show last night and she placed this time!! Even though we came home soaking wet and feeling like we were in Washington again, we had a great time watching her.

This is her on Key Hole event. In this event, they run the horse into a key hole that is drawn on the ground, turn them around with out touching the lines and run the back. Emma took 5th place in this event.

Here she is on speed barrels. She took 6th place here.

Emma's 1st Horse Show

So here's my little cow girl at her first show! There was much excitement in our family for this day. Gwen asked us everyday up to the event, "When is the show mom?". Emma did a great job! She was not in the top three but came very close in the flag event. Within her school, she placed second. Her next show is coming up and she'll have another chance to try again.

Emma the AMAZING rider!!

So, here she is doing what she loves! She has been working so hard at earning money and paying for these lessons. Her teacher is so supportive and has even given Emma some baked goods to sell to help Emma in her efforts. Her teacher said that Emma is a good rider and she thinks that Emma can take first place in some of the events in her first show coming up. We are so proud and happy for her!
