How Far you will "fly" (why it's good to wear a seat belt)

We checked out a book about fun experiments you can do with kids. Aiden found an experiment that involved a car and he had to do it. It just happened to be about wearing a seat belt! (this is perfect since it's been an issue latley due to the car seat law changing and my middle two children have to be back in a booster now) So here are some pictures, videos and some discoveries we made today.

Kids discoveries:

When you don't wear a seat belt you fly off the car. When your in a low small car you don't go as far. When you are in a high large car you go higher and farther.

When you are riding in a car, your body travels when the car is traveling. When you don't wear a seat belt and the car stops, your body keeps going until some other object stops you. When you wear a seat belt your body stops with the car because the seat belt keeps your body in one place.
